Sense-ational Strategies: Build Your Own Sensory Kit
Curious about how your senses shape your emotions, behaviors, and how you respond to the world around you?
Join Meg Olegario, a Licensed Occupational Therapist and yoga teacher at Abide for a day of community learning and crafting your own sensory toolkit.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore practical tools and strategies to better understand and manage our unique sensory systems, so we can move through each day with more confidence and ease. We will identify useful insights and coping strategies to help you feel more grounded, focused and in control. This will be a supportive space to build a more attuned sensory lens and opportunity to foster connections in community with one another.
This sensory workshop may be particularly beneficial for neurodivergent folks and simply those who experience anxiety or overwhelm throughout their day.
Here’s what you can expect during this workshop:

Explore your eight senses with sensory modulation exercises
Learn how to establish a sensory lens by identifying your sensory likes, triggers and soothers
Explore the connection between your state of alertness (energy levels) and sensory regulation
